After decades of vacancy, new tenants have occupied the old Janus building. A curious observation by one of the new residents leads to the discovery of a hidden room on the second floor. Inside is a mysterious piece of machinery, a children’s science kit, and a jar of teeth. These relics prompt a journey into the unlikely story of the facility’s final occupant, whose job may have ended, but whose work was only just beginning.
In a pair of interwoven stories separated by three decades, two individuals are thrust into circumstances forcing them to confront the limits we’re willing to go to in order to survive.
